Manufacturing Engineer in Chichester, West Sussex

ContractManufacturing Engineers are required to work on a contract basis for a well-known luxury automotive brand based in Chichester.
This is a 12-month contract, Inside IR35.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct evaluations for feasibility and cost for New Product Introduction (NPI) of low-volume, high-value products for manufacture.
- Project management of Interior Trim Centre activities through the entire NPI process including evaluation, engineering / development, industrialisation and launch.
- Participate in design and engineering reviews - conduct risk-based evaluations of production processes and implement risk mitigations to streamline the delivery of new products and satisfy the defined quality standards.
- Plan and deliver evaluation trials, prototypes, and initial trial batch production through to integration of a stable process capable of delivering the required volume output.
- Perform and lead cross-functional problem-solving using DMAIC methodology.
- Develop, improve and industrialise new and existing manufacturing processes.
Skills & Qualifications
- Knowledge of NPI, APQP & Project Management.
- Proficiency in 2D and 3D CAD
- Knowledge of Lean Manufacturing and Continuous Improvement techniques
- Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to manage complex technical issues
- Excellent communication skills to collaborate with cross-functional team
Education Requirements
- Degree in Mechanical, Manufacturing or Automotive Engineering
