IT Help-desk / Service-Desk Apprentice

What you will be doing:

You will be offering support assistance to customers who are using software, hardware, or other computer systems and need help completing tasks

Troubleshooting problems through diagnostic tests of hardware and software faults, solving technical, application and user problems, either over the phone or in person.

As well as dealing with other ad hoc requests as directed by your mentor.

This is an apprenticeship role and you are entitled to 20% of your working hours away from your job to complete work towards your apprenticeship programme.

Job role:

* Information Communications Technical Level 3 Apprenticeship with Key Training. (15months + 4 months EPA)
* Diagnosing computer hardware, software, systems, networks, printers, & scanner errors
* Logging all calls and requests in the 'ticketing' system
* Monitoring computer systems and networks
* Responding in a timely manner to service issues and requests
* Providing technical support across the company (this may be in person or over the phone) ensuring a resolution is made

About you:

You will have a passion for IT, whether this has something you have studied at school or college or a hobby of yours in your spare time.

You must hold at least 5 GCSEs or A- Levels.

Someone who has a key eye for detail, likes to keep abreast of up to date technology as well as being familiar with Microsoft products.

Ideally you will be a logical thinker, who enjoys problem solving and able to work under pressure and to tight deadlines.
