Installation Engineer in Hampshire

PermanentPURPOSE/SCOPE
To support project deliveries including on-site works at customer sites UK and worldwide, project design solutions, materials procurement, logistical management of materials at site and at Systems Interface office facility as and when required.
PRINCIPAL ACCOUNTABILITIES
1. Working as part of a team, installation of equipment's and materials at customer sites (Across the globe) in accordance with project design solutions.
2. Assist with the specification of installation materials and organise the purchase and hire of plant, machinery and tools for projects.
3. Assist with site surveys prior to equipment installations in order to ensure that all requirements for the installation of equipment are fully understood
4. Consolidate and pack equipment and materials prior to shipping to site, and be responsible for deliveries to site, ensuring that all tools and equipment needed are available.
5. Supervision of sub-contractors such as civil works engineers and local labour.
6. Producing drawings and plans for installation
7. General day to day maintenance of company owned vehicles (includes arranging for vehicle servicing), and premises in order to maintain the value of Company property
PERSON SPECIFICATION
Knowledge/Skills
* Preferably a Qualified Electrician to 18th Edition IEE Regulations/ JIB card holder - Electrician or higher
* Good, proven working knowledge and understanding of construction industry practices (CDM Regulations), and health and safety.
* Safe use of power tools
* Ability to accommodate travel world-wide at short notice, possibly for several weeks at a time
* Methodical, organised, practical and self motivated with "hands on" on attitude to work
* Ability to communicate effectively with customers and staff at all levels
* Good telephone manner
* Computer literate: MS Office
* Full, clean UK driving license
* Experience of working on airports, "airside" an advantage
* Working at Height certification an advantage
* Knowledge of MS Visio an advantage
