Geotechnical Asset Engineer in York, North Yorkshire

GEOTECHNICAL ASSET ENGINEER - RAIL - NORTH ENGLAND - 6 MONTH CONTRACT - £427 PER DAY

ARM are working with a client side Railway client and we are currently recruiting for a Geotechnical Asset Engineer to join their team in the North of England.

About You:
You will be an experienced Geotechnical Engineer or Site Engineer with experience of Earthwork Assessment and Risk standards. You will hold a Personal Track Side Safety (PTS) competence to do this role. You will also need to drive to hold this position also. Experience of working on Rail is essential for this role.

What you will be doing:
This position will be carrying out risk assessments and earthworks examinations along a route on behalf of the rail company. You will report your findings and also support planning and delivery of outside slope inspections. This will then feed your findings into the maintenance teams who will ensure the necessary actions are completed.

This is a 6 month contract initially and may extend beyond this period. Based from York, you will be provided with a vehicle to travel along the route as needed and will be based on site 5 days a week.

The rate for this position is £427 per day (Umbrella) inside IR35.

We can only consider applications from those eligible to work in the UK for this role and those with a current PTS. Drivers must hold a clean driving licence also. A DBS check will be required as part of the pre-contract checks for the successful candidate.
