ContractJob Title: Fleet Engineer
Duration: Until 31/01/2025, with a possible extension
Location: Crewe
Working Hours: Fully onsite, 35 hours per week, between 8 AM - 5 PM
Start Date: ASAP
Responsibilities:
- Vehicle Planning & Definition: Collaborate with Technical Project Managers to advise on and support the planning and specification of vehicles for each project.
- Coordinate Vehicle Usage: Maximise vehicle utilisation and optimise transport requirements while ensuring adherence to security protocols.
- Vehicle Issue Resolution: Address concerns raised about vehicles within the business and ensure timely updates.
- Disguise Strategy Management: Source and implement vehicle disguise strategies.
Key Competencies & Qualifications:
- Strong understanding of financial limits within the area of responsibility.
- Excellent communication skills across various forums and levels.
- Ability to influence and guide colleagues.
- Strong problem-solving skills for addressing cross-functional issues.
- Knowledge of Health & Safety regulations and the ability to conduct risk assessments.
- Proficiency in German is highly desirable.
Skills & Experience:
- Familiarity with vehicle road-worthiness and legislative requirements in relevant countries.
- Advanced knowledge of design and development, testing and measurement, engineering drawings, and relevant software tools.
- Familiarity with the Product Emergence Process (PEP).
Qualifications:
- An engineering Degree or equivalent is preferable.
- Membership in a relevant professional institution and Chartered Engineer status is desirable.
Health & Safety:
- The Fleet Engineer will ensure compliance with local Health & Safety policies and procedures to maintain personal and team safety.

The role involves cross-functional collaboration to ensure a holistic approach to both EE and non-EE vehicle aspects. The Fleet Engineer will also be responsible for managing vehicle budgets, updates, and maintenance.
