ARM are delighted to be hiring for a Finance Manager to join a local registered charity on a permanent basis.
To provide financial management and oversight and financial support to the senior management team.
Responsibilities
* Primary responsibility for managing the finance function and controls, setting operational budgets and production of regular management reporting.
* To enable the full integration of the finance function and systems.
* Production and review of monthly management accounts and assisting with annual statutory accounts and Charity Commission return
* Responsibility for accurate preparation of budgets and forecasts
* Supporting with financial information/narratives, budgets and pricing for grant applications, tenders and submissions, and other fundraised income
* Preparation and presentation of financial reports and liaison with budget holders and other stakeholders external to finance to discuss and review
* Play a key part in grant/contract handover, implementation and monitoring process
* Responsible for assisting the preparation of the entities VAT returns
* Responsible for the creation of assets
* Responsibility for balance sheet reconciliations
* Journal processing, including ensuring the correct accounting of accruals and prepayments
* Variance analysis
Requirements
* Qualified member of a recognised professional accounting qualification (ACA/CIMA/ACCA) with relevant post qualification experience is essential.
* Experience as part of a broad finance function with hands on experience of management reporting, budget holder partnering and financial controls.
* Demonstrated the ability to work with senior management and operational directors outside of finance.
* Experience in a registered charity is highly desirable.
* Ability to analyse, interpret and present information clearly and concisely.
* Some staff management experience is desirable.
