Facilities Engineer – ICE in Bedford, Bedfordshire

PermanentI am currently recruiting for a Facilities Engineer - ICE on a permanent basis, the role is based in Bedford and is paying up to £47,000 dependant on experience.
Responsibilities
- Support Engineers and Technicians to investigate and repair all emissions equipment issues that cannot be resolved at an operational level. This can include calling upon 3rd party suppliers for assistance
- Ensure calibration, maintenance and service schedules are developed, implemented and executed as required
- Ensure all test equipment currently being utilised is calibrated, maintained and producing robust data
- Ensure users of relevant emissions equipment are kept notified of upcoming calibration dates
- Assist with the integration of emissions equipment into the test cell, ensuring best practises are being adhered to
- Assure world-class facility uptime levels by promoting downtime risks, mitigation plans and following department best practices at all times
- Create technical procedures for facilities maintenance, calibration and quality checks
- Liaise with external suppliers and test engineers as required
- Maintain and monitor a stock of necessary parts to minimise equipment downtime when it occurs
- Liaise with suppliers for fault finding support and part supply
- To report, review and provide authorisation of results
- Act in accordance with the behaviours for staff at all times
Requirements
- Experience in a problem solving, practical role is a necessity
- Experience supporting mechanical and electrical systems maintenance and calibration programmes.
- Experience in any of the following would be beneficial but not critical (equipment specific training can be provided): AVL i60, AVL 483, AVL 489, Cambustion DMS500, Fast Fid, Fast Nox.
- Experience with delegating tasks and defining best practises is crucial
- Experience related to Project Management is desirable
