Emissions Technician in Bedfordshire

Responsibilities
Conduct chassis dynamometer emissions tests on combustion, hybrid and electric vehicles
Perform pre-test vehicle inspections to ensure they meet test requirements
Set up test equipment, including instrumentation and data acquisition systems
Monitor test procedures to ensure accurate and reliable data collection
Analyse emissions test results using specialised software tools
Identify any issues or anomalies during testing and troubleshoot accordingly
Maintain accurate records of all tests performed
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop innovative testing methodologies
Stay up-to-date with industry trends and regulations related to vehicle emissions testing

Desirable
Previous experience as a Chassis Dynamometer Vehicle Emissions Test Technician or similar.
Knowledge of combustion, hybrid and electric vehicle technology
Familiarity with chassis dynamometer systems, instrumentation, and data acquisition tools
Engineering apprenticeship related to motor vehicles

Qualifications
GSCE grades or equivalent
Mechanical/PC qualification
Requirements
Candidate must be able to pass full annual medical
UK Drivers License and own transport.
SC clearance or ability to achieve this (UK national with residency in the UK for the last 5 years)
Willing to undergo a Criminal Disclosure check
