About the Role:
The Energy Division at ARM is currently seeking an EC&I Project Engineer join the nuclear client at Torness Power Station, Dunbar.
Some of your Duties will include.
- Developing work plans
- Creating and assessing documentation
- Evaluating and approving contractors
- Conducting technical surveys
- Performing risk assessments
- Facilitating meetings in a leadership role
What do you need to succeed?
- Preference for candidates with an electrical/EC&I background, although those with experience in multiple disciplines will also be considered.
- Prior experience in a highly regulated industry (e.g., nuclear, aviation) is preferred but not essential.
- Demonstrated experience in identifying, implementing, and adhering to safety, environmental, and quality standards, company policies, and all relevant site-based legal requirements.
- Conduct feasibility studies and site surveys, coordinating with station engineering staff to determine necessary scope of work.
- Proficient in creating or modifying engineering documentation, such as electrical drawings, quality plans, and installation method statements. Additionally, the role will involve reviewing and approving contractor WRAMS.
- Strong leadership skills and experience overseeing contractors during project installation phases. May also act as an installation team leader, as needed.
- Possess a strong commitment to health and safety, exemplifying best practices and providing coaching as needed. Experience in developing Task Risk Assessments.
- Ability to provide a comprehensive work package, including documentation, installation supervision, testing, and final client sign-off.
- Flexibility to work extended hours (including weekends) as required to accommodate site processes, particularly during installation phases. Some assignments may be given on short notice.
