Complete description: Purpose of the Role: An opportunity exists within the Development group for an experienced Vehicle Development Technician to assemble, maintain, prepare, and support the operation of, multi-project test and development vehicles and rigs at both MTC Woking and at multiple test locations. The role will report to the Development Workshop Team Leader and is subject to unsociable hours and frequent travel may be required as part of this role including regular off-site UK, European and occasional worldwide test support duties
Role Dimensions:

Principal Accountabilities:
* Build of multi-project concept/mule/prototype and production-level vehicles and simulation rigs to the highest standards, using specified processes where applicable.
* Maintenance and updating of such vehicles and rigs to support the development programs.
* Preparation and operation of such vehicles for test and development activities at multiple locations, including industry proving grounds and racing circuits.
* Two-way interaction with design and engineering staff to establish and achieve requirements, specifications and targets.
* Interpretation of engineering drawings and instrumentation schedules to ensure safe and accurate builds, modifications and updates.
* Maintenance and presentation of the workshop and equipment to the standards set by the company.
* Subject to the appropriate level of internal driving standard being achieved, the candidate may be required to drive high-value, high-performance cars in workshop, road and testing environments.
Knowledge, Skills and Experience:
* Extensive experience in motorsport/prototype/low volume/high-performance complete vehicle builds, covering the manufacture, assembly, and operating of such vehicles.
* Welding, machining and fabrication skills are preferred.
* Understanding of current automotive electrical and electronic systems to enable fault finding and repair would be advantageous.
* Experience of diagnostic platforms, especially MONaco, CANape and INCA is desirable.
* Clean driving licence & passport.
* IT literate in various packages e.g. Microsoft Office suite, Virtual Car.
