Development Manufacturing Test Engineer in Enfield, London

We are looking for Manufacturing Test Engineer for one of our key defence clients based in London on a hybrid basis. The company are an innovative company based in London that work on next generation defence and security electronics products to combat various range of threats, they do this by having a creative and cutting-edge technology which themselves above and beyond other products in the market.

The Job
The job holder will be expected to create, design, and manage test structures for current and new products within both the production environment and suppliers, as well as to assist manufacturing test operations and test technicians as needed. You will report to the Hardware Mechanical & Production Engineering Manager in this position.
Key Responsibilities
* You must have a high level of transferrable abilities from the start in order to offer test design, development, and support.
* Have the ability to debug down to the component level.
* Experience with a variety of test equipment and methodologies.
* You can work with a diverse spectrum of personalities and skill sets.
* Capable of working as part of a team or as an individual at all levels.
* Work with design teams and design documents to create Test Plans, related paperwork, and testing equipment for internal and external testing of things.
* You can give the company with a vibrant, diversified, conscientious, and proactive team-based approach.
* Create test plans and test instruction packages, as well as test equipment, including unique items, for in-house and supplier personnel to verify overall functionality of units under test.
* Provide proactive team-based support for production test procedures and equipment for a varied variety of electronic solid-state, analogue, digital, microwave RF, microwave antenna, computer-based, and magnetron products.
* Assist in the transition of new product testing from engineering development to the manufacturing environment for production in-house and at a supplier.

Essential requirements
* At least 2 years of active Test Support experience is required.
* Have a high level of transferrable abilities to provide test help from the start.
* Working knowledge of test equipment, as well as the development of test solutions and test setups.
* Capability to test and troubleshoot complicated electronic equipment down to the discrete component level.
* Understanding of analogue, digital, RF, microwave, computer-based, and magnetron products.
* Working understanding of RF solid-state devices is preferred.
