Cyber Software Test Engineer in Cheltenham, Gloucestershire

The role

We are looking for a Cyber Software Test Engineer for one of our key clients based in Cheltenham. The clients are within the defence industry and you as a candidate will work some large complex projects which will include wide range of technology and skills.

The Job

You will be working alongside a multidisciplinary team to develop and deliver high quality software testing and you'll also be hands-on in aiding and implementing test strategies with a strong understanding of the Modern Testing Principles.

The main Responsibilities

• You will work in multiple environments as part of a collaborative and multi-functional team.
• Identify gaps and opportunity to improve test capability to ensure coverage efficiency.
• Identify testing solutions to reduce software time-to-market.
• Assist with the identification of new tools and methodologies to be utilised for testing.
• Identify Testing solutions, specifically automated solutions, to reduce software time-to-market.

Experience required.

• You must have knowledge of the SDLC, Agile principles and ways of working, Dev-ops principles, tools, and techniques.
• Knowledge and good understanding of automated test tools and frameworks
• Experience of working with Test Automation tools/frameworks for varying application layers, utilising techniques such as TDD, BDD, CI/CD.
• Experience in the following Test Engineer, Senior Test Engineer, Defence, Cyber Security, MOD, Government, ISTQB Certified.
