Job Title - Contract Support Engineer

Duration - 6 months, to be extended

Location - On site - Bovington

Hourly pay rate - £50ph

Must have SC Clearance

JOB DESCRIPTION:

We are looking for a contractor to work with the Land, Logistics and Training Services (LLTS) team to help transition a new service contract for a large UK Defence client. You will be working as part of a small team assessing the existing policies, processes, and ways of working to ensure that, on Vesting Day (the day the Contract officially goes live), that their service meets the Customer's needs and is in line with the companies policies and processes, whilst still retaining the 'best athlete' core from the existing processes. The areas of investigation and assessment include training, vehicle maintenance and fleet management, support services, and health and safety.

The contract will last for a minimum of 6 months and likely to be extended to a total of 14 months with significant periods of working in the south of England where you will have direct contact with our customer and the end user of the service. You will work closely with other employees who will have SME knowledge of the areas of investigation, whilst being directed by a Project Engineering Lead.

WHAT YOU'LL DO:

• Review, assess, and highlight documentation describing the processes for running a service contract.
• Advise the engineering managers on 'best athlete' approaches or issues contained within documentation
• Assess/audit live application of existing processes on Customer/End User sites against the Contracted requirements
• Support the development of new or modified processes to run a service contract
• Support non-engineering functions during the service transition especially Project Management and Human Resources
