Composite Techncian in Guildford, Surrey

With multiple sites in Shalford, Dunsfold, Warwick and a new purpose-built HQ on its way in Windlesham, the Gordon Murray Group continues to grow with multiple vehicle programmes currently in development. As a result, we currently have exciting opportunities for a Composite Technician to join our Design Team based in either Shalford.

Key Responsibilities:

• Fabricating and assembling composite components using various techniques such as wet lay-up, resin infusion, and autoclave curing.
• Preparing moulds and tooling for composite part production.
• Conducting quality checks and inspections to ensure compliance with design specifications.
• Assisting in the development and refinement of composite manufacturing processes.
• Collaborating with engineers and designers to optimise component performance.

Qualifications and Skills:

• Proven experience in composite fabrication, ideally within the automotive or motorsport industry.
• Proficiency in composite materials and manufacturing techniques.
• Strong knowledge of carbon fiber and composite lay-up processes.
• Familiarity with autoclave operation and associated processes.
• Attention to detail and a commitment to producing high-quality work.
• Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work effectively in a team.
