Aerodynamic Development Engineer in Nuneaton, Warwickshire

Are you an experienced Aerodynamic Development Engineer seeking a new permanent role? We are supporting a permanent position that is Based in Nuneaton / Coventry.

Responsibilities
* Leading the development of a Polestar project to meet challenging aerodynamic attribute targets
* You will support the build of physical buck models for Aerodynamic wind tunnel testing (supplier liaison and sourcing)
* Supporting the CFD analysis and simulation of the vehicle in the virtual stages of development
* Work closely with the exterior Design team to ensure the vehicle can meet the aerodynamic attribute targets
* Plan and conduct wind tunnel tests in overseas European facilities
* Reporting out attribute status and aerodynamic strategy at relevant forums up to Director level
* Supporting any other aerodynamic R&D and advanced engineering projects as may be requested from time to time
* Occasional overseas travel to Sweden and other European countries will be required

Requirements
* You will have a bachelor's degree and equivalent experience in a relevant area, ideally in Aerodynamic Lift and Drag development within the automotive industry.
* Strong technical background in Aerodynamics or Fluid Mechanics with a proven track record in automotive aerodynamic development
* Experience of full-scale wind tunnel testing and interpreting CFD simulation results
* Be familiar with OEM product development systems and attribute target setting and benchmarking
* Good project management skills with the ability to manage and lead a project independently with minimal supervision from their manager
* Good initiative, with the ability to manage own time and priorities.
* Strong communication skills (written, verbal and aural), good collaboration skills, and the ability to work effectively across teams within the organisation.
* Full driving licence is essential
* No visa or other restrictions for working in the UK or travelling in the European Union
