ADMS Engineer in Reading, Berkshire

ADMS Engineer - Berkshire - 12 month Contract - £40/hr Outside IR35

New contract opportunity for an Experienced Engineer to join one of the largest utility companies, working on Advanced Distribution Management System (ADMS) implementation.

About You:
You will be an experienced Control Systems Engineer, ideally with a Degree in Electrical Engineering or equivalent with a minimum of 5 years experience in Utility, Transmission & Distribution projects.

You will also have:

• Experience with ADMS PowerOn Restore.
• Experience on GE or Schneider ADMS & Oracle DB.
• Experience on SCADA systems, PowerOn fusion & Small world software will be added advantage.
• Sound understanding of Health and Safety requirements.
• Good problem-solving skills and ability to dig in to research issues as needed (Desirable)
• The ability to adapt to system changes and learn new systems quickly (Desirable)
• A progressive mindset with a continuous improvement focus (Desirable)
• Strong collaboration skills working in a team environment (Desirable)
• Good verbal, written & interpersonal communication skills (Desirable)

What you will be doing:
In this role you will work on system configuration and support for the current and new modules being implemented as part of one of the largest utility companies Advanced Distribution Management System (ADMS). You will act as an individual contributor on these engagements, contributing to software implementation, troubleshooting, customization, and integration into customer systems.

Specifically, this can include:

• ADMS program configuration and design.
• Emap and core functionality.
• Learn and specialize in supporting all future ADMS modules
• Contribute to the overall delivery of the ADMS program.
• Provide support to the team as required.
• Performs assigned system integration and testing tasks.
• Integrates software applications for customer.
• Performs complex custom software development tasks.
• Leads advance design of subsystems and integration of total system.
• Completes complex tasks in diagnosing and fixing systems and applications problems.
• Interface with customers on all technical, project, and business issues.
• Conducts technical review of application designs and works with the application areas to ensure that project requirements are met.
• Ensures that the system developed and delivered is of high quality and meets all technical requirements.

This is a contract role with an initial duration of 12 months, based out of the office in Reading, Berkshire.

This role is Outside IR35, paying up to £40/hr on a 40 hour week.
