How to become a Systems Engineer?

In order to become a Systems Engineer, you typically need a degree in a related field, such as Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering or Computer Science. If you have just finished studying, it would be ideal to gain practical experience through internship or junior roles.

Aside from qualifications, Systems Engineer job duties require you to have strong problem solving and analytics skills – you’ll need to be able to adapt quickly and think on your feet!

Knowledge of industry software and tools, such as CAD, will be helpful too. Some companies will provide on-the-job training, but this will vary depending on the position.
