Hydraulic Systems Engineer in Desford, Leicestershire

ContractARMs client is seeking a contractor to focus on the development of mobile construction equipment hydraulic systems. We are seeking a motivated person to fill the role of an engineer position. The mission of the team is to provide value to our global customers both internally and externally by helping design, develop, understand, optimize, test, validate, and support hydraulic systems.
As an engineer in the hydraulic systems team, you will be responsible for hydraulic development and maintenance. You will develop and validate the hydraulic system through machine testing, tuning, and performance evaluation of the hydraulic system in the machine. You will assist in solving technical problems while growing your analytical skills and mastery of engineering concepts. You will also continue to grow your professional network.
Experience in Excel is great.
* Basic knowledge of testing and data acquisition tools
* Basic knowledge of simulation and analysis of hydraulic systems
Relevant hydraulic engineering work experience or design of off-highway construction machines. As a Senior engineer, you would expect 6-8 years of experience.
About you... (Required)
* Ability to read and understand technical schematics, including basic hydraulics.
* Good understanding of software like VISIO, ideally Automation Studio.
* Basic knowledge of 3D modeling software, ideally ProE/Creo
* Good communication, interpersonal, and collaboration skills.
* Emphasis on initiative and self-starting tasks
About you... (Desired)
* Bachelor's degree (or equivalent) in an accredited Engineering, Computer Science, or Materials Science curriculum
* Relevant hydraulic engineering work experience or design of off-highway construction machines
* Basic knowledge of testing and data acquisition tools
* Basic knowledge of simulation and analysis of hydraulic systems
* Basic knowledge of machine operation
