Hardware Engineer in Waterlooville, Hampshire

PermanentARM are currently recruiting for a Hardware Engineer, to work with one of our key clients, a Market Leading Defence Services Company.
The role is based in Hampshire with the potential of Hybrid working, it is a great opportunity to join a growing team in a market-leading client working with the leading players in the defence industry on a permanent basis and offering real training and career development.
As a Hardware Engineer, you will be responsible for:
* Analyse requirement specifications.
* Develop architectural and detailed hardware designs utilising COTS / bespoke components.
* Contribute to design reviews.
* Develop verification and acceptance test strategies.
* Undertake test, commission, integration acceptance and PDS activities including obsolescence management.
* Produce plans, specifications, and support documentation.
* Deliver in a manner that meets the contractual requirements and the relevant internal processes.
What you'll need to do the role:
* Ability to work well independently and as part of a team.
* HNC/HND in Electronic/Electrical Engineering (or equivalent).
* Ability to generate comprehensive design lifecycle documentation.
* Previous experience in a mix of the following areas: digital, analogue, FPGA, RF, EMC and interface, cable, mechanical and PCB design.
* An appreciation of system safety engineering.
* Problem-solving skills.
* Self-motivated and shows enthusiasm in working towards goals.
* Effective communication skills.
