Financial Controller in Birmingham, West Midlands

PermanentARMs client is hiring for a role as a Financial Controller within a large power solutions company. The company specialises in developing the most efficient clean energy systems making our planets future more sustainable!
The new Financial Controller will provide operation and strategic financial support for the group, reporting to the CFO.
About you...
* You will have ACA, ACCA or CIMA, with 5 years post qualification in a senior role.
* You will have experience working within a similar sized and type of business.
* You will have knowledge of UK GAAP (ideally US GAAP too)
* You will ideally have knowledge of NetSuite
* You will have solid IT skills and proficiency in Excel
* You will ideally have experience of Group consolidations
Your key responsibilities will include:
* Developing and improving existing financial controls, policies, and procedures
* Overseeing all financial control activities in the UK, including the review and analysis of monthly Group consolidated reporting pack (US and UK)
* Assisting with budgeting and forecasting activity, manage cashflow and forecasting
* Initial finance point of contact for TPS US employees
* Control of accounting records for TPS US, including month end close, journals and reconciliations
* Deliver an accurate and timely year end process; to include effective management of the annual audit process and production and filing of the group's annual statutory accounts
* Prepare consolidation of group financial statements for TPS
* Interface with UK and US finance teams
* This is a business critical position to support the continued development and financial efficiency of the group
* Ensure accounting records are appropriately kept for all group companies
* Managing day to day financial operations
* Leading ad hoc projects with the ability to influence senior leadership team and analyse scenarios with a solution-orientated mindset, as they arise.
The role is based in Birmingham and offers hybrid working; usual hours are 09:00-17:00.
