We are looking for an Estimator to join the team and work alongside two Procurement Bids Leads, within the wider Operational Procurement team. You will be responsible for Projects covering Manufacturing, Training Services, Small Boats and Under Water Weapons. Ideally you will be a strong communicator as you will also work with our some of out key customers.
Day to Day you will be -
Identifying optimum sources of supply, to compile a competitive estimate, in line with Project Bid requirements
Creation and compilation of Cost Model Estimates, in line with business and estimating processes
Monitor and report on market trends and movements, including `Last Time Buy` options and obsolescence risk mitigation strategies
Develop and maintain relationships with key Project and Supply Chain related stakeholders
Key Skills we are looking for -
Estimating experience
Commercially aware, and able to establish strong working relationships with key suppliers
Attention to specification detail and its content
Ability to identify and implement cost reduction opportunities
Good communication skills
