PermanentAre you an experience Systems Engineer in Brakes seeking a new permanent role? We are supporting a permanent position that is Based in Shalford. Specialising in Brake Systems you will be responsible for both design and release.
Responsibilities
* Serves as a technical specialist for the organisation in the application of advanced concepts, principles, and methods in an assigned area
* Serves as technical authority on one or more functional areas across multiple programmes
* Interprets, organises, executes, and coordinates assignments
* Keeps informed of new methods and developments affecting the organisation, providing recommendations for new practices
* Reviews operational procedures to ensure compliance with applicable policies and performance measures
* Supervises staff allocated to specific assignments
* Plans, schedules, or coordinates the preparation of documents or activities for multiple major projects, or is responsible for an entire project functional are
* Ownership of relevant sections
* 3D package modelling
* Manage interface with styling
* Engineering responsibility (including design and release) of full vehicle chassis systems:
o Foundation braking
o Brake actuation
o Parking brake
o Pedals and pedal box
* Design for manufacture and assembly for responsible components
* Ensuring responsible designs meet legal compliance
* Work Package Management
* Design Sizing Analysis
o Sub system loads
o Joints and interfaces
o Materials selection
o Bolt calculations
* Assembly level simulation
* You will be responsible for Cost, timing, and mass
* Be able to identify and highlight any areas for continuous improvement
* Ensuring that your technical knowledge and expertise is kept up to date
* Mentoring and supporting professional development of all colleagues, particularly junior staff
Requirements
* Degree in Engineering
* Relevant Experience within Brake systems
* Technical knowledge of Braking
* Member of professional practice organisation
