Senior Controls Engineer in Northampton, Northamptonshire

PermanentAre you an experienced Senior Controls Engineer seeking a new permanent role? We are supporting a permanent position that is Based in Northampton. As a Controls Engineer you will be involved on a range of automotive prototype and small volume production control system solutions for a company that is a pioneer for the mobility of the future.
Responsibilities
* You will lead control system development projects, teams and business development tenders
* Supporting system requirements, integration, architecture and specifications development
* Planning, supervising and delivering hardware, base software and application software developments
* Work together with designers, development, calibration & instrumentation engineers
* Supporting wiring loom design and fabrication for projects using flexible ECU
* Support test rig design, build and control
* To support system & software modelling, simulation and testing
* Contribute to departmental process development
* You will be managing licensing of software tools used in the department
* To analyse test results, prepare technical reports and create test plans
* Liaise with program suppliers, internal and external customers
* To monitor project progress and finance
* To support the preparation of engineering program quotations
* Supporting projects off-site and issue investigations when required
Requirements
* Degree in electrical/electronic engineering or similar mechatronics
* Relevant experience within automotive electrical
* Willing to travel for periods up to 4 weeks at a time
* Good Communications skills in both English and German
* Familiar with; ISO26262, ETAS INCA and ASPICE development process
* Worked with MATLAB, Simulink, Simscape, TargetLink and auto code generation
* Previous knowledge of CAN networks, protocols and config
* Experience with C/ MISRA C/ C++
* Familiar with rapid prototype microprocessor solutions eg; Arduino, ARM Cortex
