Aircraft Structures Technician
Permanent - Full-time - 40 hours/week - 9-day fortnight

We are seeking a skilled Aircraft Structures Technician to support airframe structural and composite repairs on the C-17 Globemaster fleet at RAF Brize Norton. Working across the structures bay, flight line, and hangar, you will deliver high-quality metal rectification and structural repair solutions in both standard and confined environments.

Key Responsibilities:

• Perform structural damage assessments, repairs, and replacements of aircraft frame skins and components
• Carry out metal fabrication tasks including drilling, riveting, bolting, countersinking, and corrosion removal to tight tolerances
• Manufacture and install repair parts using aircraft-specific workshop tools and machines
• Interpret engineering drawings, technical documentation, and work instructions with precision
• Accurately document maintenance and rectification activities in digital and manual records
• Certify completed work in accordance with regulatory and company quality standards
• Collaborate across teams to ensure effective maintenance scheduling and high operational availability of the aircraft
• Adhere to strict safety protocols when working at height or within confined spaces on the aircraft

Essential Requirements:

• Proven experience in metal rectification; aircraft structural repair experience highly desirable
• Completion of a recognised BTEC/ONC/NVQ Level 3 in Civilian or Military Aircraft Engineering
• Familiarity with technical documentation and maintenance record-keeping systems
• Strong understanding of aircraft structural principles and repair techniques
