Vehicle Technician in Windlesham, Surrey

PermanentThis is a permanent position, working for a UK-based, global luxury automotive brand.
The Technical Support Engineer is responsible for customer support activities including, maintenance and repair, diagnostic repairs, warranty repairs and body repairs on the vehicles.
The right candidate will have a background in high-performance cars, from either a dealership or head office environment.
Responsibilities:
- Perform PDI, maintenance and repairs on customer and internal vehicles.
- Identify problems with vehicles using diagnostic equipment.
- Plan repair procedures using available documentation and experience.
- Test the functionality of parts and systems.
- In conjunction with the Chief technical support engineer, ensure that deadlines are met, and that work is completed and delivered to customers (internal or external) on the agreed date.
- Ensure the Workshop Management System (Job card) is used correctly, and all jobs are registered daily.
- Work well under pressure and respond to short-notice changes as required by the company /department.
- Travel overseas for extended periods of time and at short notice if required.
- Liaise with customers and articulate work carried out in a professional manner.
- Carry out any other appropriate work as required by the company.
Experience and Qualifications:
- Level 3 National Vocational Qualifications (NVQ), or equivalent, in Vehicle Maintenance and Repair.
- Qualified to Senior or Master Technician level.
- Previous experience in the Automotive Industry at Dealership or Head Office environment
- Proven record in customer verbal communication.
- Proven record on Diagnostic fault finding.
- Refrigerant handling qualification which meets the F-Gas Regulation.
- Knowledge of Automotive Vehicle operating systems, Braking, Air Conditioning, Suspension, Engine and Transmissions.
- Computer literate - Microsoft Office Suite including Microsoft Teams.
- Clean Full UK driving licence.
- Valid Passport with no visa restrictions.
Desirable:
- Track day support experience an advantage.
- Knowledge of Engineering and Service Bill of Material systems an advantage
