We are looking for a Production controller to support the Master Production Schedule (MPS). You will also work to ensure that all material in the manufacturing chain is completed to the appropriate build standard.
You will be required to Maintain work in progress status within SAP, expediting internal make items to ensure compliance to MPS. Produce weekly progress reports on status and provide accurate feedback to the Planning manager on estimated finish dates and delays identified. You will also work with other business functions including, Operations, Procurement, Quality Assurance and Engineering to ensure required schedules achieved.
Day to Day -
- Review, release and manage internal Production/Service orders in line with the MPS/Customer plan.
- Expediting work through the Production areas on a daily basis and reviewing capacity of areas with Manufacturing teams
- Scheduling of Production/ Service Orders on SAP
- Use of Teamcentre to ensure most recent drawings and work instructions added to Production/Service orders
- Coordinating operations completed by Vendors with Delivery and Logistics teams
- Implementation of FRB/MRB actions - Attend MRB's and ensure that dispositioned material is actioned accordingly
- Liaise with Industrial Engineering to ensure accurate rework descriptions and timings added
- Delivery of kits to and from all Manufacturing and Engineering areas
- Advise relevant internal stakeholders of any delays likely to impact achievement of MPS, proposing re-prioritisation of work within the plan and solve problems
- Attend and contribute to daily Production reviews
- Key member of IPT
- Communicate closely with Material Supply team with regards to material availability for agreed plan
Key Experience we are looking for -
- Experience of SAP is essential
- Planning experience in a Production environment
- Ability to meet deadlines
- Excellent organisational skills, demonstrated through ability to plan and prioritise
- Analytical and logical nature with a strong desire for continuous improvement
- Adaptability and flexibility
- Good Communication Skills both written and oral
- ESD and FOD awareness would be an advantage
