Vehicle Maintenance Technician in Crewe, Cheshire

ContractWorking as part of the project team to provide technician support in the delivery of engine and transmission calibration projects through to production.
Responsibilities
- Maintaining development vehicle fleet, covering:
- Tracking vehicle build integration levels (hardware & software updates) and ensuring fleet vehicles are up to date
- Coordinate workshop activities for hardware and software updates
- Installation of test equipment
- Prototype build support
- Preparation of vehicles for test
- Support during overseas environmental test trips (up to 3 weeks in duration)
- Manage spares and measurement equipment
- Conducting specific vehicle testing and data acquisition in support of engineers
Skills & Experience
- Experience servicing and maintaining vehicles
- Experience of vehicle and powertrain test activities
- Prior experience working with development and prototype vehicles is preferential
- Prior experience working on hybrid and electric vehicles is preferential
- Good problem-solving and evaluation techniques
Available to travel for extended periods (up to 3 weeks at a time), sometimes with short notice, worldwide
Full valid UK driving license required
