* Responsible for design and/or engineering a functional area or multiple systems or processes
* Develops new techniques and/or improved processes, materials or products
* Assists upper levels of management and staff within a technical specialism
* Prepares full project documents
* Formulates and solves problems
Engineering responsibility (including design and release) of full vehicle chassis systems:
* Suspension Links
* Corner Springs and Dampers
* Roll and Heave Control
* Uprights and Hubs
* Wheels and Tyres
* Foundation Braking
* Brake Actuation
* Parking Brake
* Steering
* Pedals and Pedal Box Design for manufacture and assembly for responsible components and assemblies
* Ensuring responsible designs meet legal compliance
* Work Package Management
* System package
* Subsystem specification and analysis
* Component concept design and analysis
* Component and system specification
* Technical procurement support
* Outsource supplier management to budget and timing
* Design Sizing Analysis
* Sub system loads
