A leading LNG shipping company with a global presence are recruiting a Vessel Manager to join their team in London.
Duties will include;
* Anticipating and driving Safe and Flawless Performance of assigned vessels' operational requirements including: Dry-dock and major repairs and scheduled and unscheduled maintenance repairs
* Ensuring arrangements in place for maintaining appropriate certification
* Promoting Health and Safety as Corporate Values
* Providing Technical and Operational support and guidance to assigned vessels
* Coaching and developing Masters, Chief Engineers and direct reports ashore
* Arranging class surveys in a timely and cost effective manner
* Coordinating with relevant shore-based resources to support the vessels
* Ensuring timely analysis of monthly financial reports
* Analysing the nature and root cause of any serious breakdown or damage
* Monitoring results of all vetting inspections and other internal or external audits and ensure follow-up on findings and close outs in timely manner
* Carrying out regular risk reviews for vessel operations and ensure appropriate actions are taken
To be considered for this position you will have sailed as a Chief Engineer onboard LNG/LPG/Gas Tankers and have shore-based experience as a Vessel Manager or within a similar capacity.
The successful candidate must have a deep understanding of technical operations for the vessel types managed, along with a desire to drive continuous maintenance and operational condition of the Company's vessels and a desire to drive continual improvement in self and others
