We are seeking a talented and experienced Unified Communications Implementation Engineer specialising in Video Conferencing installations for a 12-month contract role. As a key member of our London-based technology projects team, you will play a crucial role in planning, coordinating, and executing the deployment of video conferencing equipment throughout our EMEA offices.
Responsibilities:
· Plan, coordinate, and oversee end-to-end video conferencing installations through our EMEA region.
· Collaborate closely with AV System Integrators, General Contractors and cross-functional teams to gather requirements, assess infrastructure needs, and provide technical recommendations for optimising video conferencing deployments.
· Work with our VC engineers to deploy and configure video conferencing hardware and software components, codecs, endpoints, and infrastructure to our global standard.
· Conduct thorough testing, troubleshooting, and quality assurance to ensure a reliable and high-quality VC experience.
· Monitor video conferencing systems during the installation phase, providing guidance and support to AV System Integrators and general contractors as needed.
Requirements:
· Proven experience as a Unified Communications Engineer, with a specific focus on video conferencing installations.
· Strong knowledge of Crestron video conferencing protocols, codecs, endpoints, and infrastructure components.
· Proficiency in planning, coordinating, and executing end-to-end video conferencing deployments, including integration with existing unified communications systems and networks.
· Excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving skills to identify and resolve issues efficiently.
· Solid understanding of network protocols, IP telephony, and VoIP technologies.
· Experience collaborating with AV System Integrators and cross-functional teams.
· Strong project planning and coordination skills to ensure timely and successful video conferencing implementations.
· Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to effectively collaborate with stakeholders at all levels.
· Relevant certifications (e.g., Cisco Collaboration, Microsoft Teams, Polycom, Zoom) are highly desirable.
· Please note that this role requires flexibility to work after hours and weekends to meet project timelines and coordinate installations with vendors.
