Day Rate: £600 per day (inside IR35)
Contract Duration: Until 31st December 2027
Hybrid Working: Minimum 3 days per week onsite

About the Role
We are seeking an experienced Transition Support Officer to join the Metropolitan Police Service's NEO Transformation Programme.
NEO is a major business transformation programme modernising the Met's HR, Finance, Commercial, and Resource Management services. The programme will replace legacy systems, streamline processes, and introduce a modern, integrated operating model that improves efficiency and supports frontline policing.
Working within a fast-paced programme environment, you will support service transition activities, coordinate delivery across workstreams, maintain programme governance, and help ensure a smooth transition into business-as-usual operations.
Key Responsibilities
- Support the development and delivery of transition plans and programme activities.
- Coordinate deliverables, dependencies, risks, and issues across multiple workstreams.
- Maintain project documentation, RAID logs, status reports, and governance artefacts.
- Support PMO processes, reporting cycles, governance meetings, and assurance activities.
- Analyse and present data to support programme reporting and decision-making.
- Assist with stakeholder communications, briefings, and updates.
- Build effective relationships with Service Leads, SMEs, and programme stakeholders.
- Support service transition, closure activities, and post-implementation reviews.
About You
Essential:
- Experience within a PMO, project, programme, or transformation environment.
- Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities.
- Excellent stakeholder engagement and communication skills.
- Experience producing reports, tracking delivery, and supporting governance activities.
- Ability to work independently and proactively resolve issues.
Desirable:
- Experience of service transition, shared services, or business transformation programmes.
- Exposure to continuous improvement initiatives.
- Familiarity with Oracle Fusion or similar cloud-based systems.
- Understanding of TUPE or service transition activities.
