Duration - 6 months initially
Location - remote with site visits to London
£575 INSIDE IR35

My client is looking for a Technical Lead to investigate and analyse their 'in house' application based on ASP.NET version 4 application framework.
The main objectives are to: Upgrade the application onto the latest .Net technology Identify the opportunity for, and assess feasibility of, tactical improvements. Analyse and document the 'as-is' and 'to-be' downstream transformation logic from this application into the data warehouse. Design and implement an approach for connectivity to, and ingestion into, a new Azure data warehouse.

Responsibilities will include:
Analysis of the solution and documentation of the architecture and technical challenges.
Analysis and documentation of any downstream transformation logic or processes between the application and data warehouse.
Analysis and documentation of relational data/table structures. Data mapping.
Recommendations to the scope/extent of which tactical improvements would be able to be implemented into the solution.
Review business requirements for tactical improvements and assess feasibility against the technology stack.
Impact assessment of business requirements against the technology stack and estimation of effort required to implement changes.
Producing High Level and Low Level Design documentation.
Design approach to implementation of tactical improvements.
Design approach and implementation plan for upgrade of ASP.Net to the latest .Net technology (.Net6/ASP.NET Core).
Design approach for connectivity to and ingestion of the data from this source system into an Azure hosted data warehouse.
Carry out upgrade of ASP.Net to the latest .Net technology (.Net6/ASP.NET Core).
Providing design input, direction and technical oversight to a technical development team.
'Hands on' technical development/code analysis.

Must have skills
ASP.NET version 4 application framework
Experience of .Net upgrades SQL and stored procedures
SSRS Experience of technical solution design and analysis
Design Documentation Insurance Domain Knowledge
Connectivity/Integration knowledge (i.e API, Point-to-point)
Data Warehousing experience
