Technical Accountant in Redditch, Worcestershire

Technical Accountant - Redditch - Initial 3 Month Contract - £24 p/h (Umbrella)

ARM is delighted to be recruiting for a local authority who are actively seeking a Technical Accountant to join them on a contract basis.

The role requires someone able to motivate other members and experienced in leading a team ideally and someone experienced in preparing final accounts.

Responsibilities:

* To ensure efficiency, effectiveness and equality in service delivery
* To exercise proper integrity and respect of confidential matters and personal information obtained during the execution of the duties of this post
* To provide outstanding customer services to all customers, colleagues, elected Members
* Knowledge of local authority VAT will also be beneficial.
* Knowledge and understanding of key accounting principles

Requirements:

* Fully CCAB qualified, preferably CIPFA
* Experience within local authority accounting is a must
* Excellent systems skills with experience of Excel modelling and ERP environments
* Experience of final accounts closedown
* Excellent oral & written communication skills
