PermanentWe are looking for a Surveillance Field Systems Engineer for one of our key defence clients based in London on a hybrid basis. The company are an innovative company based in London that work on next generation defence and security electronics products to combat various range of threats, they do this by having a creative and cutting-edge technology which themselves above and beyond other products in the market.
The Job
As a surveillance field systems engineer, you will be reporting to the customer support technical manager. Yoi will be working within the Customer Service Department, the Surveillance Field Systems Engineer's role is primary Field based supporting customers around the world, conducting various technical products.
Please note in this role you will be travelling within the UK and to several international destinations is a regular component of this work, and travel requests may be made at short notice.
Main Responsibilities
* Perform service interventions on supported systems, such as troubleshooting and fixing hardware, software, electronic, electrical, and mechanical issues down to the LRU level.
* While in the office, assist the Customer Services Technical Helpdesk by responding to technical assistance e-mails in a timely manner and writing technical assistance Sheets as needed.
* Complete any special projects or responsibilities agreed upon with line management.
* Participate in technical meetings as needed and act as a technical contact with the Sales team/customers.
* Maintain the secrecy of any sensitive product information and act professionally in the presence of clients. Maintaining the required standard of behaviour and presentation at all times.
Essential experience.
* Minimum of ONC qualified in Electrical/Electronic Engineering.
* Experience in an Electronics servicing environment, preferably Marine orientated.
* Proven track record in demonstrating knowledge of electronics in a 'hands-on' discipline.
* Excellent communication skills both technically and socially with the ability to interact at all levels within the organisation.
* Sound knowledge of computers including hardware and software with the ability to use various software packages such as Microsoft Word and Excel
