Financial Accountant in Poole, Dorset

Financial Accountant - Poole - Permanent - £52,000

ARM is currently recruiting for a Financial Accountant to join one of our clients in Poole on a permanent basis.

As a Financial Accountant, you will be responsible for the coordination and delivery of external regulatory reporting such as VAT, NROSH, and Annual Financial Reports.

Requirements:

* Prepare the statutory accounts, taking the lead on the group's subsidiary companies;
* Assist with the preparation of the group's consolidated accounts, for both management and statutory accounts;
* Support the wider business on technical accounting issues, sharing experience and updating the Financial Accounting team to help ensure they are kept up to date with the latest development and reporting requirements;
* Assist with the modeling of new business opportunities;
* Responsible for coordination and delivery of regulatory financial reporting, including the quarterly NROSH, annual FVA returns and submission of statutory accounts
* To coordinate the monthly journal review process across all finance divisions
* Work with the group finance team to develop a culture of continuous improvement across finance and assist with any process improvement implementations

Requirements:

* Qualified member of a CCAB body (ACA/CIMA/ACCA) is essential
* knowledge of VAT is essential, and sector-specific knowledge and prior experience of completing VAT returns is highly desirable.
* Financial information systems experience with expert-level excel skills is essential. Experience and knowledge of specialist financial systems is desirable.
* Ability to analyse, interpret and present financial information clearly and concisely.
* Ability to work with different teams across finance and development operations with an understanding of the different needs and requirements of the group's various stakeholders
