We are looking for a Supplier Quality Engineer who will drive quality for assigned suppliers, including quality plan implementation. You will select suppliers through qualification processes, own supplier results, own supplier audits, ensure compliance, and drive improvement plans where needed. You should have technical understanding of engineering drawings and the ability to manage vendors.
You'll also be responsible for -
* Supplier Quality Assurance and Supplier Quality Development
* Lead supplier qualifications, action plans, audits, performance monitoring, and assisting key suppliers towards industrial standards of excellence
* Track metrics & works quality improvement plans to address problem areas
* Review and approve quality plans, investigate quality escapes to provide root cause analysis and ensure effective corrective actions are taken
* Mentor suppliers in the application of quality tools & requirements
* Ensure compliance, and drive improvement plans where needed
* Review documentation and witness supplier practices to determine if sound manufacturing and inspection principles are in place
* Lead transfer of works to new suppliers
Key Skills & Experience we are looking for
* Relevant technical education or degree with experience in Quality or Engineering
* Proven experience in QC Engineering, Quality System Planning and Quality Improvement methods
* Working knowledge of CAA/EASA Part 21G and J approvals
* Working knowledge of AS9100/ISO9001 requirements
* Certified Auditing skills
* Six Sigma trained or Green Belt certification preferred
* Experience in Quality function within a manufacturing or engineering organisation
* Ability to influence others and lead improvement projects
* Good oral, written communication + presentation skills
* Good interpersonal and team skills
* Excellent ability to work with digital tools and data
* Effective problem identification and solution skills.
* Proven analytical and organizational ability. Solid understanding of geometric dimensioning and tolerancing
* Demonstrated ability to analyse and resolve problems
* Lean Six Sigma trained
* Demonstrated ability to lead and support multiple projects simultaneously
* Strong oral and written communication skills
