This role is responsible for managing the supplier database and facilitating effective communication between the organisation and its suppliers. The Supplier manager supports the business owners with the negotiation of new contracts and performance of suppliers to ensure the timely and efficient delivery of goods or services. This role requires an individual with a procurement and vendor management background, along with excellent organisational skills.
Maintain a comprehensive supplier management process that supports the business owners to have successful relationships with the relevant suppliers
Coordinate and maintain relationships with suppliers, acting as the primary point of contact for day-to-day interactions.
Works with Functional Leads to identify, evaluate, and select suppliers based on quality, reliability, cost, and other relevant factors
Resolve any issues or discrepancies related to orders or invoices by coordinating with suppliers and internal teams.
Manage supplier contracts, ensuring terms and conditions are favourable and aligned with business needs
Supports business owners with regular performance reviews of key suppliers
Acts as the link between business owners and finance teams to manage purchase orders
Manage and maintain a successful supplier onboarding and offboarding process including the negotiation of key terms
To ensure there is appropriate governance in place to the create consistency in supplier management across the business.
Implement supplier risk management processes, including contingency plans and alternative supplier options.
Ensure compliance with legal, regulatory, and ethical standards in supplier relationships.
Relationship Building: Excellent interpersonal skills to establish and maintain productive relationships with suppliers and internal stakeholders.
Negotiation and Influence: Strong negotiation skills to achieve favourable terms and drive win-win outcomes.
Analytical Thinking: Ability to analyse supplier performance data and make data-driven decisions.
Attention to Detail: Strong focus on accuracy and quality when managing contracts and monitoring supplier performance.
Problem-Solving: Demonstrated ability to identify and address issues in supplier relationships and develop effective solutions.
Communication: Excellent written and verbal communication skills to effectively interact with suppliers and internal teams.
Adaptability: Ability to adapt to changing priorities
Time Management: Strong organizational skills to prioritise tasks and meet deadlines.
Knowledge of procurement and supplier management principles, practices, and tools.
Experience in contract negotiation, supplier evaluation, and performance measurement.
Ability to analyse supplier data to evaluate supplier capabilities, assess risk, and identify cost-saving opportunities.
Understanding of legal and compliance requirements related to supplier contracts and agreements.
Exceptional organisational skills to effectively manage the supplier database
Ability to manage key stakeholders across the key functions
