Advanced Resource Managers are pleased to be supporting a global and award winning design engineering consultancy, to hire a contract Structural Engineer, to join their South West UK Design Office for an initial period of 6 months.

If you are a Structural Engineer and you would like to be considered for this post, you will hold some or most of the following qualifications, background and experience :

- Degree in Structural or Civil Engineering.
- MIStructE or MICE or working towards chartership.
- Designing structures in steel concrete, timber or masonry to Eurocodes.
- Using structural analysis design software.
- Project background in UK Defence Projects, Submarine Facilities Design or Nuclear Projects (Satisfying Safety Cases)
- Seismic Design and Detailing (Steel and Concrete to US Codes)
- Maritime Design (BS 6349)
- Heavy Civils Design
- Building Design
- Acting as a Discipline Lead

The role will allow you to :

- Use your technical skills and knowledge on a wide range of building structures.
- Develop conceptual solutions to problems through to detailed design.
- Contribute to the development of the multi-disciplined project team's approach.
- Assist in the execution of projects within defined design and cost parameters.
- Undertake research, data collection and presentation of information.
- Present results to clients under supervision of a lead designer.
- Comply with Quality and Technical Assurance Procedures.
- Work in compliance with BIM standards, Digital Plan of Work and the project BIM Execution pla
- Hold site visits and attend design team meetings.
- Assist/mentor the development of apprentice and less experienced staff.
