Position: Structural Engineer - (Southampton)- Marine Services

My client is looking for a Structural Engineer to join their business in the Southampton Area that contributes towards developing structural designs from concept to class and beyond.

Responsibilities:

• Engage in effective communication with customers, shipyards, and stakeholders to ensure project alignment and success.
• Designing and contributing analysis work for assigned projects, to maintain technical requirements, with a focus on steel and aluminium.
• Actively manage your workload, and complete assigned tasks in a timely professional manner.

You are likely to have had experience in the design of large complex vessels.

Requirements:

• Maritime experience in structural engineering, with a preference for large complex vessels.
• The ability to use AutoCAD and Rhino.
• An understanding and knowledge of Classification and Flag rules, ship systems, and their impact upon integration.
