The Role
The clients are based in Rustington, West Sussex. The clients are developing next generation equipment and products that are used in various industries such as defence, military, and non-government organisations. This is a great opportunity to work with one of our key clients to deliver a project for our client to make a major contribution for the company.
Main Responsibilities
You will be reporting the logistics operations Manager and you will be control of stores. The role will be based in Rustington.
* You will be setting up project stores and formal control process along with inventory management.
* You will be in control of materials in and out of warehouse as well as updating the inventory against the company database.
* You will be in control of project stock and re-order consumables for relevant projects.
* You will oversee the processing of paperwork including recording part numbers.
* You will assist with the loading/unloading lorries and company vehicles as well goods receiving processes and routing of materials.
* You will be in charge of general housekeeping and maintenance of the workshop along with being in charge of dispatching of goods.
* You must understand and comply with Company policies and procedures including, but not limited to, ISO9001 and ISO14001.
Experience and qualifications
* You must have a counterbalance fork lift truck license
* IT literate with experience of inventory databases (SAP preferred) and standard Microsoft applications.
* You must have an understanding of automotive/mechanical components.
* Must have experience of formal warehousing procedures.
You must be eligible for SC due to the nature of the work.
