We are looking for a Contracts manager /Quantity Surveyor to join us and work on a long-term contract. You will be responsible for the management of key suppliers as part of a multibillion-pound build programme/contract including management of NEC4 contracts.
This role would be great for someone who is still quite early on in their career and looking for a company to support them with career progression. You will work with one of the leading Defence companies and receive excellent training and a development plan that also involves academic training/qualifications.
Day to Day you'll be -
Accountable for ensuring that Contractor payment valuations are accurately assessed, challenged appropriately, certified and paid on time with the appropriate contractual notices and payment certificates, with findings communicated to all stakeholders
Accountable for the management of Contractors onsite whilst monitoring accurate Contractor progress on site, carrying out accurate site and quantity measurements, where applicable accountable for reporting over measure or cost adjustments required
Ensure commercial aspects of sub-contract accounts are managed from procurement to interim and final account agreement, in accordance with relevant contract terms and associated pricing option and /or best practice
Establish and agree contractual programme, forecasting and reporting project commercial performance
Hold regular progress and contract performance meetings to facilitate agreement of contractual changes whilst ensuring that the contractual timeframes are complied with, covering SHE, quality, risks and budget delivery and savings for assigned contracts
Maximise the commercial benefit of all subcontracts and effective management of contract changes in accordance with relevant contract terms and associated pricing options and /or best practice
Key Skills we are looking for -
Degree qualified in Quantity Surveying
Extensive Quantity Surveying experience within a relevant sector in the Construction industry
Robust understanding of NEC4 suite and developing of innovative contract solutions to enhance supply-chain delivery
Ideally you will be part of a professional institution RICS/MCIPS (or working towards)
