Software Test Engineer in Northampton, Northamptonshire

About you:
* Experience working on complex data acquisition systems (using dynamo-meter test beds and test rigs)
* Knowledge of I/O network protocols such as CANbus, MODbus etc.
* Knowledge of software such as AVL PUMA, Horbia STARS, NI LabView, and INCA is advantageous.
* Understanding of instrumentation techniques
* Technical competence in equipment calibration.
* High +300VDC electrical experience is advantageous
* Open mind approach to technical challenges
The role:
The role will be working within the Test Engineering team.
* Responsible for data acquisition systems and associated software within propulsion, vehicle, and battery test facilities.
* Developing of data and control systems for new facilities such as battery and e-machine testing.
* Support planning and delivery of software upgrade programs
* Monitor the effectiveness of current systems and deliver efficiency improvements.
* Transforming the facility for e-mobility testing, and development proposals for capital expenditure.
