Software Engineering Manager
12 Month contract
Remote with occasional visits to London (2-4 per month initially)
£700 per day (Inside IR35)

My client in the utilities industry is looking for a Software Engineering Manager who has experience of managing AI/ML development teams/projects to join their fast-paced team on an initial 12-month contract.

Details on the role -

• Building strong teams is a vitally important aspect of the role, so you'll be heavily involved in the recruitment, onboarding, and personal development of engineers.
• You'll work closely with the teams' Product Managers and Agile Coaches to make sure they are balancing quality and flow with the delivery of great products to our customers.
• You will look after a brand new squad in the contact centre space, which uses cutting-edge GenAI technology to bring a new level of automation.
• You will be looking after a multi-disciplinary squad (a mix of direct and professional services-based personnel) of software, data, and machine learning engineers.
• You'll work closely with colleagues in Data Science and Product to help shape the roadmap and balance moving at pace with robust engineering practices.
• You'll focus on developing your team's skills, alongside architecture, data pipelines and integration, security, and quality continuous development.
