Software Engineer in West Sussex

We are looking for a Software Engineer for our client based in West Sussex.

The role will involve both Linux Software and Full Stack Web Developing.

The ideal candidate would have:
* Experience with writing userspace applications for embedded Linux devices in C and C++.
* Familiarity with the Linux Kernel, driver model, and device tree.
* Experience with using embedded Linux build tools such as Buildroot and Yocto for compiling operating systems for embedded Linux devices.
* Familiarity with writing server-side applications using Node.js, Javascript/Typescript, and MySQL.
* Familiarity with browser-based frontend Javascript frameworks such as Vue/React for creating Single Page Web Applications.
* Basic understanding of HTML and CSS.

Having one or more of the following would be a great advantage:
* Experience with using the Raspberry Pi platform for industrial applications.
* Experience designing systems that are resilient to failure when left unattended for extended periods of time.
* Experience with the Vue.js frontend framework.
* Experience with using cloud computing services such as AWS.

The working hours usually start from 8:30 AM but they are flexible in regards of starting time with a 7.5 hour day.
They offer 20 days of holiday per year, raising by one day per year worked to a total of 25 days of holiday.
Pay rate will be £35,000 - £50,000 depending on experience.
