About the Role:
The Energy Division at ARM is currently a Site Quality Assurance Engineer to join a Nuclear Defence company.
Key Responsibilities Include:
- Reviewing quality requirements for site activities with the Site Manager to ensure understanding and compliance.
- Supporting the Site Manager in implementing site arrangements, processes, and procedures
- Maintaining records to demonstrate compliance with contract requirements.
- Reviewing and approving certification for material delivered from subcontractors.
- Communicating with the Site Manager regarding equipment delivery issues and providing feedback on material problems
- Identifying inspection requirements, resource needs, and potential inspection problems
- Ensuring accurate completion of working documents, inspection reports, and test reports promptly
- Using correct inspection methods and calibrated equipment for measurements
- Labeling non-conforming items appropriately and following procedures for rectification or disposal
- Ensuring accuracy and completeness of Inspection & Test Plans and routing for approval
- Establishing site working arrangements (SOW's/RAM's) concurrent with work status
- Reviewing Safe Systems of Work including risk assessments and method statements for quality requirements
- Notifying appropriate authorities for client or third-party inspection requirements and ensuring necessary personnel and equipment availability
- Conducting audits of site arrangements and subcontractors for compliance with standards and implementing corrective actions as needed
- Compiling and reviewing project quality records, including subcontractor records, for completeness
- Ensuring compliance with company and customer requirements applicable to the site
What You Need to Succeed
Qualifications:
- Minimum NVQ/SVQ level 4 in an engineering discipline or recognized apprenticeship training
- IOSH Managing Safely
- Auditor/Lead Auditor training
Experience:
- Demonstrable BS EN ISO 9001 experience in an engineering construction/installation environment
- Nuclear or other regulated industry experience
