Site Maintenance Manager in Chichester, West Sussex

Our client is looking for a Glasshouse Grower to join their team in the Chichester area.

In this role, you will be responsible to support the site with all aspects of maintenance so that all systems are working without any disruption and to allow a safe and productive working environment.
You will play a vital role in the efficiency, development and progress of all glasshouse and associated equipment, specifically the GES system. You will work closely with other departments to improve facilities, reduce the incidence of costly breakdowns and to help develop strategies to improve overall reliability and safety of the site.

Duties will include but not be limited to:
* Ensure that all work carried out is completed with the full awareness of you and your colleague's health and safety, in accordance with Health and Safety regulations.
* Ensure that Risk Assessments are adhered to when necessary.
* Ensure all staff are properly qualified and trained for the safe completion of their duties.
* Relay issues with the system clearly to people responsible for the Heat Pumps or CHPs maintenance.
* Draining and refilling heating systems as and when required.
* Replacement of standard pumps and other components when required.
* Regular checks and maintenance upkeep of all strainers.
* Electrical unwiring and rewiring of standard pumps and components.
* Manage routine servicing and regular inspection of all electrical, mechanical and other equipment of the facility (including boilers, high pressure pumps, gear boxes).
* Detecting any defects and malfunctions, immediately repairing and refurbishing them.
* Maintaining records of the repair and maintenance work conducted in the facility.
* Efficiently managing time and delivering within specified deadlines.
* Taking ownership of specific maintenance projects.

Ideally, you will have:
* Mechanical and Electrical experience.
* Previous glasshouse maintenance experience.
* Experience in maintaining and repairing production machinery.
* The ability to lead and be part of driven and motivated teams.
* A high level of attention to detail and a proactive attitude

Previous experience with Glasshouse heating systems and familiarity with Priva systems would be an advantage.

Please note that a clean UK/EU Driving Licence is required for the role and working days will not be only Monday to Friday, flexibility on working hours, including weekends and Bank Holidays is required.

The start date for the role is expected to be early November.

For this role, our client is willing to pay up to £50,000 per annum depending on experience.
