We are looking for a Senior Sub Contract Buyer to join us. You will work as part of the Production Integrated Project Team (IPT). The main focus for this role will be to deliver innovative supply base solutions to de-risk the programme & will management of sub-contract commitments that are tangible to the team and business.

You will need the ability to manage internal and external relationships and will require broad experiences of working cross-functionally in a matrix organisation with minimal supervision. You will have strong and effective communication skills, with the ability to develop and nurture internal customer relationships, promote customer intimacy and team working.
You will also need to demonstrate successful procurement capabilities to deliver electro / mechanical assemblies at both a component and module level, which mitigate commercial risk and address lifecycle factors whilst fostering and maintaining supplier relationships.

Day to Day you will be expected to -
Lead the delivery of sub-contract management activities and other procurement-related services which may be required by the IPT and its constituent projects
Performance of complex assignments requiring cross-functional collaboration without supervision
Promotes customer intimacy in both internal and external relationships
Be the focal point for Suppliers regarding contract and supply base matters across multiple products
Ability to balance priorities and manage time effectively
Identify solutions for complex areas of potential risk /opportunity e.g. sub-contract risk, liability and exchange rate exposure etc., and deliver solutions/mitigations
Promotes a culture of best practice and sharing of knowledge within the function and across the wider business
Work with stakeholders, at all levels, in order to understand Customer requirements and critical success factors
An understanding of legal aspects and an ability to negotiate bespoke terms and conditions
Management of Export Compliance, restrictions and third-party rights for all procured items

You will work to the following Key performance indicators -
Timely and accurate preparation of data
Deadlines consistently met and to the required standard
Adherence to functional specific, business process requirements and standards
Positive feedback from internal/external customers and peer group
Identification and management of supply chains in support of outsourced service requirements
