Procurement Contracts Specialist - Hampshire - Permanent - £Competitive plus excellent benefits

ARM are currently recruiting for a leading organisation located in Portsmouth, Hampshire for a Procurement Contracts Specialists to join them on a Permanent basis.

The Procurement Contracts Specialist will be the first point of contact with suppliers and will undertake negotiations on contractual terms, support the business with supplier sourcing as well as run RFP exercises as and when required.

The Role:

* Working closely with internal stakeholders and departments as a whole to get a detailed understanding of the needs of a proposed contract.
* Conducting a 1st line review of the contract terms, marking-up areas of concern for further review.
* Conversing with suppliers to request any contract amends that are needed and negotiating a mutually acceptable outcome.
* Assisting the business by sourcing new suppliers and running RFP exercises.
* Train and support other team members on the contract review process to aid in their development.
* General Procurement advise and assisting the wider business with any procurement related questions.

Requirements:

* Minimum of 2 years within a similar role, with extensive experience of contract review and negotiation.
* Experienced in contract review and mark-up with understanding of contract law principles.
* Strong negotiation skills.
* Needs to be hands on with a solution orientated mind-set.
* Good under pressure - you will be proactive and able to manage numerous tasks while ensuring that Procurement needs, and departmental goals are achieved daily.
* Ability to adapt quickly and be proactive in your approach to changes this maybe to either process or departmental initiatives which may affect your daily tasks or workload.
