Senior Principal CFD Analysis Engineer in Northampton, Northamptonshire

Are you an experienced Performance and Senior Principle CFD Analysis Engineer seeking a new permanent role? We are supporting a permanent position that is based in Northampton. Being part of a group that strive to drive technology for the mobility of the future, as a Performance and Senior Principle CFD Analysis Engineer you will provide CFD analysis support to engineering programmes and process development for new technology and software.

Responsibilities
* You will be preforming analysis of the fluid flow in engine and battery systems and components to support project and customer requirements
* Liaising with customers, sub-contractors and project teams
* Carry out fluid analysis using hand calculations and spreadsheets where required but principally using CFD
* Presenting results and recommendations and the analysis to the customer
* Developing timing plans and helping prepare quotations
* Monitoring project progress to provide feedback to project leaders
* Guide other members of the CFD team by offering coaching and support where necessary
* Help by developing the companies CFD analysis capabilities
* Represent the analysis function in multi discipline projects

Requirements
* Degree within mechanical , Automotive or Aerospace Engineering is desirable
* Experience in applying CFD analysis techniques in an appropriate engineering environment
* Experience of steady state and transient CFD analysis for both incompressible and compressible fluids
* Ability to read, understand and interpret engineering drawings
* Good knowledge of CFD techniques including multi-phase and transient moving geometry simulation
* A high level of proficiency in a major CFD code preferably StarCCM+ and/or Converge
