ARM are delighted to be supporting one of our top clients with the recruitment of a Senior Finance Manager on an initial 6 month basis.

The Senior Finance Manager will be acting as a key finance advisor to the business regarding technical accounting, tax compliance and resolving operational finance issues. In addition, you will provide support as a finance subject matter expert on various transformation projects.

What you'll be doing:

  • Owning end to end completion of the statutory financial statements and annual report under UK GAAP.
  • Ensuring the business is compliant with IFRS and Group accounting policies.
  • Oversight and support over month-end close activities.
  • Reviewing of Group reporting obligations under IFRS, including completion of key reporting schedules
  • Proactive management of corporation tax compliance, including quarterly tax calculations, RDEC, tax payments and annual filings, supported by external tax advisors, both in UK and Ireland.
  • Oversight of the company's internal control framework, including compliance with JSoX.
  • Accounting technical support to the business, particularly in relation to IFRS 15 and revenue accounting, lease and fixed asset accounting, impairment and pensions.
  • Oversee our Offshore back-office functions, to ensure a smooth finance operation supporting the wider business.
  • Review of VAT calculations and returns.
  • Supporting various Treasury and cash management tasks, including steering the cash flow forecasting and reporting process.
  • Reporting and monitoring on the balance sheet and working capital management

About you:

  • 3+ years post qualified ACA, CA, ACCA or equivalent.
  • Audit practice trained from a reputable firm.
  • IFRS trained with a deep knowledge of key accounting principles and experience of reporting accounts on an IFRS basis
  • Have strong working knowledge of UK tax framework, including corporation tax, large company tax governance, international tax (transfer pricing) and VAT.
  • Ability to manage end to end preparation of statutory accounts and the audit process.
  • Experience in managing teams or direct reports and supporting coaching and development of others.
  • Previous experience in an SAP based ERP environment is an advantage
  • Have experience working cross culturally, in an international business environment.
